This article provides information about Access bugs and other issues reported during Nov 2026 (in order of date reported) including symptoms and action taken.
Once again, relatively few and mainly minor issues this month.

IMPORTANT:
Insider channels (particularly Beta Channel) are used by Microsoft to test new features before these go to production channels.
It is to be expected that the insider channels may contain bugs. These channels should only be used for testing purposes and NEVER for production use.

Item Bug information Date Reported Reported By Action taken
a) Layouts are Lost When a Report is Copied in the Navigation Pane

Create and save a report with controls in a layout. Copy and paste the report from the navigation pane. The copied report does not have the control layout.
Regression in version 2610

Workaround: Use Save As to copy the report to a new name without the layouts being dropped.
2026-11-06 Philipp Stiefel The Access team has identified the problem and a fix will be in Current Channel version 2611
b) Zooming a form with a textbox selected can cause the text to be displaced

Using the slider, zoom '+' button or mousewheel to zoom a form to a high value whilst a control remains selected can cause the text to be displaced and the control border to disappear.
For this to happen, the following conditions are required:
Overlapping windows display, form NOT maximized, zoom resizes window property = True

Displaced Text on Zoom
2026-11-06 Colin Riddington Being investigated
c) 22-inch form width limit is back for some users

Some users have reported issues where big forms can no longer be created/opened correctly after updating Current Channel version 2610 to a newer build.

Workaround: Close ALL Office apps then restart Access.
2026-11-06 Alessandro Grimaldi/George Hepworth Will be fixed in CC version 2611 approx 3rd week in November.
