I was very pleased to have been invited to lead a presentation at the UK Access User Group (UKAUG) Autumn Conference in London on Wed 4 Nov 2026.
My presentation is called Sprinkle a little UI Magic on your apps
My session will be a whistle-stop tour through a wide ranging series of tips and tricks to enhance the appearance and functionality of your forms in Access.
A slightly modified version of this presentation will also be given to the online Access Europe User Group (AEU) session on Wed 11 Nov 2026.
Some features are items I have covered previously and may be familiar to experienced developers. However, several are brand new and have never before been discussed in any Access user group event. It is expected that almost everyone attending will have learned several new tips and tricks they will want to include in their own Access applications.
All the items covered have related articles elsewhere on this website, together with free example apps containing all required code.
In most cases, you will be able to include the additional functionality in your own apps with only small changes to your own code.

Many of the individual items also have accompanying videos on YouTube with additional explanations of the code involved. More videos to follow in the near future.

Topics expected to be covered include:
